Landed
Freddie the Freedom Eagle hatched in Freer, Texas, on January 31, 2019, the same day Freedom Bank officially took flight under its new name. From the start, Freddie was bold, curious, and eager to explore everything South Texas had to offer.
As a young eaglet, Freddie loved soaring over ranch land and small towns, meeting families, business owners, and the neighbors who make our communities special. During one of his early adventures, he became friends with a bright-spirited local redbird named Brush. The two quickly bonded, spending their days learning the rhythms of life in the Valley.
Each summer, Freddie traveled south to visit new places, cheer on local teams, and take part in the traditions that make our region unique. He discovered what Valley residents have always known, that this is a place where people look out for one another, where roots run deep, and where community comes first.
Inspired by the warmth he found here, Freddie made a promise: he would return year after year to celebrate the people who make the Valley strong. Brush pledged to watch over their shared hometown up north, and Freddie would carry the spirit of South Texas wherever he flew.
And so began Freddie’s many adventures across Freer, the Valley, and every community Freedom Bank is proud to serve.
